Rune Readings

The Runes are an incredibly ancient system of divination from Germanic tribes dating back over 1700 years. The Runes, which translates to mystery or secret, are believed to be divinely gifted from the Norse god, Odin, The oldest of the rune systems is called the Elder Futhark and contains 24 characters, 24 secrets from the Cosmos. Runes are created from natural elements, such as bone, stone, with the most typical being wood. Rune readers typically “cast” their readings which means they throw the runes onto a casting cloth as opposed to a specific layout. However, runemasters can create very specific layouts and spells for the querent. Rune readers take much pride in hand crafting their own rune sets, blessing them in ancient ways that honor the God Odin, which in turn establishes an incredibly powerful bond between the reader (the Seer) and the Runes themselves. Ms. Kathryn’s personal belief is that during her Rune sessions that prayers and petitions are being presented to God and He is opening up the windows and doors of Heaven and raining down knowledge. While Ms. Kathryn has hand crafted several Rune sets of wood and stones, her favorite reading tool are her bones channeling ancestor and animal spirits.
